Two more trends: 3. Commercial Style. This style of faucet, often seen in restaurant kitchens, have a heavy-duty commercial look. Often they have a spring over the pull down hose. Usually this style is used as a pot filler over a stove. 4. Touch and Touchless. Tech has been integrated into faucets. Smarttouch technology, which lets a user tap anywhere on the spout or handle to turn the water on and off, is awesome when washing and rinsing dishes. LED lights can be used to alter the color to indicate the changing water temperature. Some faucets incorporate a motion feature to turn it on and off. Others add the ability to change temperature that way. For example wave left to turn the water warm; wave right to turn it cold. Moen is coming out with a faucet in fall 2022 that will use wave and voice command technology to eliminate the handle. I’m not sure this is a good idea since technology doesn’t always work, and a battery or power failure will be a problem.
