Phoenix has one of the best downtown living experiences in the country according to StorageCafe. Its 2023 Downtown Living Hotspots report ranked the 30 largest cities in the U.S. using various categories including cost of living, rental inventory, apartment amenities, safety, restaurants and cultural options. The report noted that Phoenix has superior access to theaters and fitness centers and apartment availability and access available from Valley Metro Rail. StorageCafe counted around 200 restaurants in the city center and live music venues, museums, rooftop lounges and art galleries, and sports fans can watch the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury or Arizona Diamondbacks at their downtown stadiums.
