You probably never considered moving into an office building. But the possibility is increasingly likely for apartment dwellers in some cities. That is because there are unused or underutilized office complexes that could find new life as apartment homes. A recent study analyzed which cities were most likely to support conversions to residential space, and Phoenix was rated number three in the nation. The reason is the need to increase our housing supply to accommodate all of the newcomers. The Phoenix metro area is short 100,000 homes, so office to residential conversions in the Valley of the Sun may make a lot of sense.
