NAR’s Profile of International Transactions in U.S. Residential Real Estate surveys Realtors about transactions with international clients who purchased U.S. homes. In the 2023 Report covering from April 2022 through March 2023, the average ($639,900) and median ($396,400) purchase prices for international buyers were the highest ever recorded by NAR. China, Mexico, Canada, India and Colombia residents were the top five purchasers by number, but China and Canada remained first and second in dollar volume. But due to market conditions (low inventory and higher prices), the number of U.S. homes actually purchased by international buyers fell to its lowest level in at least 14 years.
