Halloween is a fun holiday to decorate your house. But if you’re home is listed, you don’t want to go to far with decorations if you don’t want to truly scare off buyers. Experts say to not over decorate, and choose what you put up wisely. In general, decorations should be neutral, like scarecrows, pumpkins, and hay bales. And the same goes for Christmas related decorations. Shy away from lots of overly religious imagery, and don’t over decorate. Don’t create crowded spaces and clutter by going overboard in your yard or interior. You want to keep your house open and inviting. Keep it festive but restrained to maximize your chances of a buyer falling in love with your home.
