Homes.com surveyed 1,000 individuals who had downsized their homes. The survey found the most cited reason for Baby Boomers to size down was because their previous space was too large. For younger generations, the reason was simple. Almost 80% of Millennials and 65% of Gen Xer’s downsized to save money. Less than 60% of Boomers cited expenses as their reason for moving to something smaller.
