Here are 3 common and costly mistakes that home buyers make:
1. Not visiting a lender, getting pre-qualified and obtaining the AAR Pre-Qualification Form;
2. Buying other things before closing. Lenders check credit scores up to the closing date. Too much shopping, and any big ticket purchase on credit, could cause the lender to decline to fund the loan;
3. Not getting an inspection. Don’t roll the dice, get the property inspected.  And remember, the point is to learn if the home needs expensive repairs. No home is perfect, so accept the little things.
