The emerging markets of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa were identified some years ago as having economies to watch.  They were coined the “BRICS”.
The next countries to get that kind of name were Mexico, Indonesia, Nigeria and Turkey, shortened to “MINT”. The projection was that they would become the next economic powerhouses.  As that occurs, “MINT” citizens could seek residential real estate opportunities in the U.S.
Mexicans have had significant investments in Arizona and other U.S. states for years, but the other three “MINT” countries have contributed little historically.  I would expect that any investment by the other three countries in the future will occur primarily on the U.S. coasts, and be negligible compared to the other global players.
