Zillow is a source for much misinformation when it comes to market value in the metro Phoenix area. “Zillow’s price forecasts are for entertainment purposes,” said Mike Orr, ASU’s real estate expert. Zillow has been “wildly inaccurate” in forecasting future home prices says Tom Ruff, real estate analyst with the Information Market. Mr. Ruff added that “Zillow [doesn’t predict] changes in home prices; They are predicting changes in their own Zestimates.” I can’t predict the future any better than Zillow, but if you want to know what your property is worth now, let me know and I will be happy to do the research.
